The Purple Palace

Summer 2007 Service Project

This summer our older children served at a home for the elderly on a weekly basis. They bathed the residents and cleaned their rooms. They also helped to clean the facility. We were able to purchase three wheel chairs and a walker at a local auction house to donate to the home. We were not able to take any photos of this service project but the people whose lives they touched were greatly appeciative of our young people and their help. Praise God that we are raising teens who want to give back to their community.

Goals for the kids we care for:

To give each child a warm, loving. clean home, with nutritious and delicious food.

To give them encouragement in learning at school and church.

To give them spiritual education from the Bible.

To encourage them to be leaders by helping and listening to others.

To broaden their learning experience with public school, music lessons, computer lab, community projects, swimming lessons, english lessons, theater, crafts, and more.

To receive psychological counseling - individual and group sessions.

To learn to respect authority.

The children can stay with us at The Purple Palace until they graduate from trade school or the university. They need to have the determination to grow and study well.
